We hope you aren’t hungry in the art room!

It has been great to see lots of projects reach their final stages upon our return to school this term. American pop artists – Wayne Thiebaud and Peter Anton, have inspired the students to make scrumptious looking cakes and delectable doughnuts!

Foundation students are completing their warm and cool collage cupcakes and they look good enough to eat!

Year 1 students have coloured their Matryoshka clay pieces and they are looking absolutely gorgeous!

The Year 2’s have finished decorating and glazing their colourful three dimensional doughnuts as well as creating a collage doughnut art work that included lots of printing, collage and painting techniques.

The year 3’s have placed the cherry on top of their clay sundaes and we can’t wait for you all to see the spectacular art work at our Specialist Showcase.

Grade 4 students have just put the finishing touches on their plaster ‘Sculpt It’ slices of cake and are now learning about goal setting through creating the Chinese ‘Daruma’ doll.

Completing their bento and nichos boxes has been the focus upon returning to school this term for the grade 5/6 students. They have put in such a great effort and I am so proud of the work they have produced.
