In Grade 2, Strathmore Primary is committed to providing students with an inclusive environment that challenges and supports students to achieve their full potential. Students are encouraged to achieve their personal best in all areas. As a community we strive to provide students with a curriculum that is differentiated, authentic and engaging. Literacy, Numeracy and Inquiry are the key learning areas which are fundamental to students developing as confident learners.
Grade 2 students are on their way to further develop their skills in; independence, flexible working, resilience for their learning and work habits as well as social habits. In year 2, students work as a collaborative community where they build on the importance of working as a team and collaborating with their peers.
Students participate in a range of whole school community activities; Italian Day, Book Week, Footy Day, Fun Run, Incursions and Excursions. Students also engage with family members in our Community Reading program each week to promote a love and enjoyment of reading.
