This term in Mathematics, students have been developing their knowledge of 2D and 3D shapes. They are learning to name shapes and discuss their geometric properties. Last week, students were given the task to go on an exciting shape scavenger hunt around the school. Their goal was to find real life objects that represented 2D and 3D shapes. Once students located their shapes, they needed to identify the number of corners, faces, sides, edges and vertices they have. Students found many shapes in creative places around the school, including the playground and the new basketball courts. Below are some pictures from the hunt!
